Hello from England!!!
I’ll be using Wifi as often as I can to upload on Instagram and Twitter so be sure to follow me there! I’m probably going to be pretty silent with replying to comments and emails but I promise i’ll read everything when I can!
I’m here today to share with you all what i’m taking in my travel makeup bag. I’ve got a lot of stuff but it’s all mini sized so it all fits in the bag easy-peasy!
First up is the super boring stuff. I really don’t think I have to explain why you need all of these things. A mini lint roller, deodorant (which will be in my carry on), Wet Wipes and cotton rounds.
Next up I’ve got my sea salt spray which i’m only bringing because i’m reallllly trying to love this stuff. I reviewed it here and i’m still up in the air. Some days I like it, some days I hate it. I’ve got this mini hairspray from a sample Birchbox. For a non-aerosol hairspray i’m really loving it. For my shampoo and conditioner I went with ole’ reliable Tresemme. I don’t use this stuff regularly but every time I buy it i’m in love all over again. Yes, that’s a Christmas shower gel from Bath and Body Works. But, it’s smells so good! And I already had the mini so why not? And last in this little group is my favorite lotion. I’ve used Aveeno for years and it works amazingly on my dry skin.
Sunscreen! Obviously i’m going to be wearing sunscreen. Have you seen how fair skinned I am? This is the perfect, lightweight sunscreen that isn’t oily. I can easily wear this under my makeup. Up front are 2 Benefit products I got in my Advent calendar. The eye cream and the moisturizer are both super hydrating and not at all sticky or oily. Just behind those is the First Aid Beauty Eye Duty Triple Remedy, and I haven’t had this for a long time but i’m really loving it so far. The applicator is so cooling and refreshing on the eyes and it’s a tinted eye cream so I can use it as concealer! Double win. And can I just say that I never buy these little masks but I thought it would be easy to take along instead of bringing a big jar or bottle from a mask I already have. That girls eyes creep me out so I really hope it was worth the purchase.
And, here’s some more boring stuff. Little toothbrush thingies to keep in my purse (I’ve got another one for my carry on bag), mouthwash, and toothpaste. Don’t worry, i’m also bringing a toothbrush, it’s just not pictured because I was too lazy to walk downstairs to grab it out of the bathroom :-].
Now for the makeup! From left to right is my Tarte Amazonian clay airbrush foundation, the powder version. This is my favorite foundation but I also brought the Dr. Jart bb cream. I love that too, but I love them both in different ways. Next to that is my Porefessional which i’m sure you’ve all heard me talk to death. The next two products are primers, one’s for my lids, and the other is for my face. All 3 of those Benefit products were in my Advent calendar post if anyone is interested in reviews.
I realize there are 3 different mascaras there. And yes, I’m really bringing them all. I’ve never tried the Makeup Forever one so that’ll be an experiment, and the other two are my two favorite mascaras. I even did a head to head battle with them here. I’m bringing two of my favorite eyeliners. They’re the 24/7 liners from Urban decay in Demolition (brown) and Rockstar (purple). I couldn’t choose between them so I bought both.
This is the last bit and I swear this all fit into my travel bag. I put this travel perfume in all the way on the left but I ended up taking this one from my February Birchbox instead. The second perfume i’m bringing is the Versace Bright Crystal perfume that’s one of my favorites. I decided to bring two of the benefit stains because I can use these both on my lips or cheeks for more versatility. The next product is a bronzer from surprise, surprise, Benefit lol. I have an addiction, I know. The second to last product is an eyeshadow quad from Coastal Scents. I think I got this in a Brichbox but i’ve never used it. We’ll see how it goes. Last, but certainly not least is this mini Makeup Forever lipstick that is just slightly darker than my natural lips.
That’s it!! What are your travel essentials? Do you over-pack like I do? Let me know in the comments!
