Transitioning from Summer to Fall: Beauty 4

Transitioning from Summer to Fall// Being Leanna
It’s that time of year when summer slowly slips into fall and we all go crazy over cozy sweaters, boots and pumpkin everything. Another thing I go crazy for? Fall makeup. I love transitioning my makeup into fall so I wanted to share with you all what I switch up.
Here are my summer essentials:
Summer essentials

Supergoop! Advanced Anti-Aging Eye Cream, Benefit They’re Real Mascara, Smashbox Cosmetics Smashbox Cosmetics Blush Rush, Philosophy Renewed Hope In A Jar Moisturizer, stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner, tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation, Tarte Amazonian Clay Bronzer Park Ave Princess, Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer.

A good waterproof mascara and eyeliner are essential for summer. Although the Benefit’s They’re Real mascara isn’t marketed as waterproof, it’s pretty hard to get off so i’m counting it. I also love using a peachy or light pink blush in the summer time along with a bronzer to really add a summery glow. A brightening concealer is a must, almost as much as a sunscreen! Renewed Hope in a Jar is such a great lightweight moisturizer, perfect for summertime.

Now, my fall essentials:

Fall essentials

In the fall I like to darken up my blush. My favorite is deep throat by NARS. Yes, orgasm is their most popular shade, but next time you’re shopping for a blush, check out deep throat. It’s way better in my opinion. I also nix using a bronzer in the winter. Not sure why, but I do. And, I generally use a lighter shade of foundation too. In the fall I even change up my concealer. I love the Maybelline age rewind concealer but i swear it disappears in an instant the second it’s muggy outside. Doesn’t matter how much powder I use it just melts right off. But, it’s perfect in the fall and winter when it’s dryer. My skin really soaks this stuff up.

What makeup do you change up going into fall?

  • I’ve heard Deep Throat is great but wonder if it’s a bit too dark for me? That Maybelling concealer is a must-have for me! I don’t wear bronzer on the winter, either. Great list!

    • For me it’s not too dark and I’m pretty pale. It’s nice and rosy for fall and winter time. And I definitely don’t cake it on lol

  • My next blush is for sure going to be a NARS, I’m dying to try them! Also, I have been using the Maybelline Instant Rewind for a little bit, and I don’t love it. I might be dabbing it wrong, but I have pretty sensitive under eye area and it kind of makes them puffier. Great post!

    • Thanks! Definitely go for a NARS blush. They’re all beautifull and they last forever bc they’re so pigmented.
