We all have love hate relationships. Something you really love but hate at the same time. It’s a constant struggle and a real #firstworldproblem. There are a ton of things I have a love hate relationship with such as work, food and clothes but today i’m sharing the ones that are a bit more specific to me. We all LOVE shopping but hate spending the money and we all love ice cream but hate the pounds we gain from it. So, onto my love hate list!
Flying: This is probably my biggest love/hate relationship. I absolutely love going to new places and exploring but flying and I are not friends. I get so sick on airplanes it’s unbearable. I hate to say it but I need to be medicated to be on an airplane. I get horrible motion sickness and moving hundreds of miles an hour in the air is not my body’s idea of a good time. In addition to motion sickness, every time I fly my one ear will not pop and I end up completely deaf in one ear for a good 24 hours sometimes more. It’s great fun. I’ve done some research and it seems to have something to do with my ear fluid which is probably also why I get so motion sick all the time. Luckily, every time I have flown the destination has been well worth the agony of flying and it has yet to stop me from booking a trip. I am always looking for new places to go and I don’t ever intend to let my flight sickness get in the way of that. If you have any suggestions to help with my motion sickness let me know, those ear patches only help so much!

Reading: I know, how could anyone hate reading? Well, sometimes I do. When I am into a book I need to finish it rightnowrightnowrightnow and quite often I do not have the time for that. It is very frustrating to me that I can’t extend my lunch break at work to finish the good part, or that I need sleep and can’t stay up all night to finish the last few chapters of a book. If I could I’d sit on a beach somewhere and just read all day every day. That would be the life. Speaking of reading, I recently picked up Grace & Style The Art of Pretending You Have It and have avoided starting it because I know i’ll need to read it all at once. Am I the only one that’s like this?
Mugs: Yes, you read that right. And yes, this is the silliest thing I could have a love/hate relationship with but hopefully you’ll understand where i’m going with this. I love mugs. Mugs are unique, cute, and are very good at being vessels for liquids. I love collecting them and showing them off, they are so instagrammable. Yep, I went there. If you’d be so kind as to go check out my Instagram right now as proof of my point i’ll wait a minute or two for you to come back.
Back? Okay, good. As you just saw, about 1/3 of all of my Instagram posts contain a mug. So you might be asking, Leanna, why do you hate mugs? Clearly you love them so much you put them on Instagram all the time. Answer: Yes I do, but I’m hating them because I am struggling with being creative right now. I am having Instagram block. I don’t know what else to post so instead of posting nothing, I show you my morning coffee or afternoon tea. HELP! Yes, that very long-winded mug speech was so that I can ask you guys how you stay inspired on Instagram? Is my life just so boring I have nothing to post about? (Slight sarcasm, but also winter blues, ya feel me?)
