I had a super chill weekend. I spent it being a bum. And it was great.
Saturday was spent on my laptop catching up on blog posts from the week and checking my emails. I watched YouTube videos, started season 4 of OITNB (finally) and I deep cleaned my room. It was amazingly relaxing and perfect because I had been dying for some alone time.
I spent my gloomy Sunday making granola bars and pasta salad for lunches for the week and now i’m writing this blog post. I’m really not sure where it’s going but I’ve been feeling disconnected from the blog lately. Like I needed to sit back and recharge. I had so many beauty things and travel things I wanted to share that I feel like I was getting lost in throwing things at you instead of just having a conversation with ya’ll.
So what’s new with you guys? How is your summer going? Are you ready for fall yet?
My summer has been incredibly busy. For me at least. You see, I get very exhausted by a lot of socialization and a big reason I’ve been mostly off the blog this week and being a bum all weekend is that I needed to recharge. As much as i’d love to be an extrovert I’m not. I thrive on solo, quiet time.
Everyone needs alone time, but introverts more so. Especially after the past few weeks. The past couple weekends up at the lake were go go go for me and i’m physically and mentally tired. Do any of you guys get this way too?
I don’t want to be too much of a downer on a Monday but it’s rainy and gross as i’m writing this and that’s always a mood killer as well. Basically i’m just rambling until I can get some motivation to finish up my travel recaps from my Europe trip. Ljubljana, Venice and Rome are still left!
